Sex is confusing. Is she a man or a woman? They dressed and treated her like a girl, but George knew she was a boy. She liked what boys liked and played like boys play. She nearly got in a fist fight when a boy said she looked like a girl. George got older and went to high school. She knew her parents worried that she was gay. She did have a girlfriend she liked a lot. But one day at the lockers, a dropped book brought eye to eye with another boy.
They date and when her mother helps select a prom dress, her parents no longer worried. George graduates. She is much in love. But she is troubled.
